1. Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx (Verizon)

Top Android Smartphones March 2012

Still tops… for now. A well engineered smartphone from Moto, you get both thin design (at .35″ it’s only .07″ thicker than its twiggy sibling, the regular RAZR), and best-in-class battery life (3300 mAh).

The Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display (960×540) offers superb contrast and plenty of brightness. While the  1.2 GHz dual-core processor might seem so 2011, the Maxx performed well in our tests, and proved to be an excellent go-to mobile for browsing the web.

Some may want ICS and the rockstar that Samsung launched in December, but as a whole package the RAZR Maxx is hard to beat. Speaking of ICS…

Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx: $299 Verizon Wireless. $199 Amazon Wireless.
