5★

5 out of 5 stars

Well made, well priced, the Back-iT by Bracketron receives our highest rating. Protect your new iPad without breaking the bank.

Price: $29.95

Pros:

  • Snug fit; soft to the touch; available in 5 colors; well priced.

Cons:

  • None.

Here’s a solid, well made back cover for your new iPad. In my testing the Back-iT hard case (by Bracketron) fits well, feels nice to the touch, and comes in enough colors to please the most discerning tablet fashionistas.

I know these things are a dime a dozen; it can be hard to tell one accessory from the next. What I liked about this particular case is its snug fit. Better still, when you look at your iPad from the front you can hardly tell it’s there. Many cases have lips, or hooks that come over the sides – I try to avoid those as it mars the look of Apple’s beautiful design.

There’s nothing fancy here in terms of build. The Back-iT is made of high-impact plastic (polycarbonate) and featuers all the usual cut-outs you’ll need to preserve the iPad’s features (camera access, speaker, volume controls). In addition it will work in tandem with a Smart Cover, so no worries there.

Color is the only decision you’ll need to make: orange, green, pink, grey or blue.
