We’re down in Loreto Bay and watching how the new pool is progressing. I’d like to show some of the steps in how they do the beautiful stonework that they’re doing around the pool for those of you who haven’t seen how it’s done yet. After they’ve prepped the surface and laid a cement foundation, an artisan breaks then lays the stones so they almost fit together, spacing them perfectly. They level them. Then they pour a cement mixture between the stones.

They then use a shovel to remove the excess.

Then they wet-mop over the stone and cement as in the upper portion of this photo.
And then sponge away the cement that’s over the stones.
And then sponge away the cement that’s over the stones.
