Michael FrantiOrganizers of BottleRock have today announced they will hold a special concert Napa earthquake relief concert — a family friendly “extravaganza” called Napa Rocks!.

Michael Franti & Spearhead and dance-fusion collective Afrolicious are scheduled to perform., in addition to Napa’s own Grass Child.

The announcement notes that 100% of the money raised from the concert will be donated to the Napa Valley Community Foundation’s Earthquake Relief Fund. The fund was established to support Napa businesses and residents adversely effected by the recent August 24, 2014 earthquake.

Napa Rocks! will be held September 28 at the Napa Valley Expo (downtown Napa). Tickets are $20.

The event will also feature wine from a variety of Napa Valley’s acclaimed vintners and bites from local area restaurants and food trucks.

The concert is part of a three-day (September 25-28) earthquake relief called Napa Valley Rocks Weekend.

Other scheduled events include Nourish Napa! featuring several of the region’s top chefs including Chefs Ken Frank (La Toque), Tyler Rodde (Oenotri) and Brian Whitmer (VinEleven).

Contribute to the Community Mosaic! invites the community to contribute to a mosaic and permanent memorial comprised of fragile treasured items that were shattered in the August 24 earthquake.

NOURISH NAPA!

Several of Napa Valley’s top chefs and vintners have teamed up to present an ultimate wine and food evening that can only be found in the Napa Valley. Chefs and restaurants include Morimoto Napa, Michelin Star Ken Frank of La Toque, Tyler Rodde of Oenotri, Brian Whitmer of VinEleven, Todd Humphries of Kitchen Door, Michael Gyetvan of Norman Rose Tavern, plus ZuZu, Angéle, and Sweetie Pies. A silent and live auction along with other surprises ensure this will be an evening to remember. Tickets are limited and are $200 per person.

CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY MOSIAC!

All community members are invited to contribute to a mosaic and permanent memorial comprised of fragile treasured items that were shattered in the August 24 earthquake. Organized by Verve Napa Valley and The Grand Hand Galley, this collaborative public art piece will be installed at a TBD location in downtown Napa. Drop your pieces off during normal business hours at The Grand Hand Gallery now through Tuesday, September 30.
