british-columbia-wineriesIf you are doing some trip planning involving BC, Canada you should download this PDF published by Tourism BC. The guide includes information on BC’s 3 main regions: Vancouver Island, the Fraser Valley and the Okanagan. Absolutely beautiful settings.

I’m still convinced tha the Okanagan, with over 80 wineries, is one of the great remaining wine secrets in North American; still surprised at how little press it receives, both in major wine publications and on the Web in general.

With a cooler climate, but certainly temperate compared to other regions of Canada, you could almost call the region, along with Washington State, the new Germany. You’ll discover plenty of high quality Reislings, Pinots and, of course, ice wines.

Loni and I are planning a trip to Vancouver, BC including the Okanagan later this year. It should make for some fun photos, stories and videos.
