San Francisco food and wineTwelve superstar chefs from the San Francisco Bay Area have come together to create the 2012 “Chefs of the Bay Area” calendar.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the calendar will benefit Meals On Wheels of San Francisco (MOWSF) and their efforts to serve one of the city’s most vulnerable populations – homebound seniors.

The 12 participating chefs are:

— David Bazirgan, Fifth Floor Restaurant
— Jen Biesty, Scala’s Bistro
— Dominique Crenn, Atelier Crenn
— Mark Dommen, One Market
— Jake Godby, Humphry Slocombe
— Mourad Lahlou, Aziza
–Kara Lind, Kara’s Cupcakes
— Pam Mazzola, Boulevard & Prospect Restaurants
— Peter McNee, Poggio Trattoria
— Yigit Pura, Tout Sweet
— Annie Somerville, Greens Restaurant
— Kory Stewart, Americano Restaurant and Bar

The 11×17 wall calendars are printed on 100 lb. high gloss paper and features a special recipe from each of the chef including Jake Godby‘s Salt and Pepper Ice Cream, Annie Somerville‘s Corn and Cherry Tomato Salad with Arugula and Kory Stewart‘s Black Walnut Sbrisolona.

“We are deeply honored to have the support of these 12 world-class chefs,” said Ashley McCumber, Executive Director at Meals On Wheels of San Francisco.  “Over the past 24 years, chefs throughout the Bay Area – including the 12 in the calendar – have helped us raise millions of dollars at our annual Star Chefs and Vintners Gala.  This calendar is just one more way they are helping us ensure that no homebound senior goes hungry.”
