Some sad news for Bay Area theater. Actress Summer Serafin died March 18th after a 10-day struggle to survive a tragic 35-foot fall from a fire escape. She was 31.
I had only seen her perform one time — just last month Ms. Serafin delivered a memorable performance in On The Waterfront at the San Jose Stage.
I learned of the news from a piece today in the San Francisco Chronicle by theater critic Robert Hurwitt. According to the article the community is organizing a public celebration of her life for April.
Our condolences.
