San Francisco Summer Wine Tasting Series is an opportunity for wine lovers in the Bay Area, as well as visitors to San Francisco, to taste highly rated, boutique wines not commonly found in supermarkets and wine stores. While this week’s SF Wine Pour event brings together wineries from various regions across California, future events in the series will focus on a particular wine region within California. Each week, winemakers from the featured wine region will come to San Francisco to pour their wine and discuss the unique characteristics of their wine region and the wines produced. The current schedule for the San Francisco Summer Wine Tasting Series includes the following wine regions:

Sunday, July 26 – Napa Valley
Sunday, August 2 – Sonoma
Sunday, August 9 – Urban Wineries
Sunday, August 16 – Paso Robles & Santa Barbara

San Francisco Summer Wine Tasting Series will run each Sunday from 1:00p-4:30p and tickets for each regional event will be available at the “Upcoming Events” section of the Winery Collective website at https://www.winerycollective.com for $15 in advance and at the event for $20. Families with children are allowed in the Del Monte Square during the event, but you must be 21 years or older to drink alcohol. Non-alcoholic wine grape tastings and beverages will be available for purchase at the event for those under the age of 21.

By bringing the wine experience to San Francisco from wine regions across California, the SF Summer Wine Tasting Series and its sponsor, Winery Collective, look to promote the wine tasting experience in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly setting without the carbon emissions produced when touring wine country. The use of public transit is encouraged.
