Touring Vancouver: Granville Island

BY Clinton Stark — 05.12.2009

Sea Bus across False Creek

What an engaging time we’ve had in beautiful Vancouver. We carry our umbrellas everywhere and use them infrequently. The weather is coolish but perfect for what we want to do.

On Tuesday we walked to the the ferry and took a wee little Seabus across False Creek to Granville Island, a rehabilitated industrial site beneath the Granville Street Bridge.

The Public Market is one of the best places to pick up salmon. The warehouse have been converted into pubs, shops, restaurants, a hotel, theatres, and artists’ workshops.

A fascinating place to wile away a cloudy morning in Vancouver.
