Peju Winter Estate Red Club wine shipment arrives

BY Clinton Stark — 12.11.2008

We just received the winter shipment from Peju winery in Napa. We always look forward to receiving them, although these days we are more conscious of costs related to life’s little extras. This shipment included 3 wines, all red since we belong to the estate red club.

Peju winter estate red club shipment:

  • 2004 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley
  • 2006 Estate Zinfandel – Napa Valley
  • 2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon – Rutherford Reserve (limited production)

I look forward to some great tasting althought the reserve will be heading off to age for some time. Oh well, there is always Trader Joe’s and Costco wines, nothing wrong with that! Other news from Peju. Chris Manning has been named executive chef overseeing culinary programs, including weekly wine and food pairings, cooking classes and more. Loni and I have not yet enjoyed a meal or food pairing at Peju, but we hope to soon, hopefully in 2009.

Alan Jacobson’s upcoming thriller takes place in Napa. With the success of Sideways maybe Napa will become the backdrop to more stories? Alan Jackson’s next novel is apparently set in Napa and will be released next year, with Peju hosting a book release party.
