Loni & I are off tomorrow to Baja, Mexico for a short vacation. Not sure what kind of internet or cell coverage they have there, but hopefully we can post some funny pictures and video from location. I’d like to see a whale.
I’ve never been to Baja. In fact, I’d never heard of it until the last few months. When I used to hear the word “Baja” I’d think of dirt bikes and off-road cars for some reason. Then I learned it’s in Mexico. It’s a peninsula. And it’s actually very close to California; so a short flight and we’re there.
The place we’re going is called Loreto, about 1/2 way down the eastern side of Baja on the Sea of Cortez. It’s tranquil and village-like from what I know. We’ll probaby enjoy some hiking, kayaking, wander the local village, and practice Spanish (¿Cuánto para una cerveza y un masaje?).
