San Francisco Weekend: Uncorked! Wine Festival

Over fifty wineries, including some of Napa and Sonoma's finest, will be pouring at the event. Stark Insider recommendations: Etude, Michael Mondavi Family Estate, St. Clement, Flora Spring, and Stags' Leap Winery.

Uncorked! Wine Festival, San Francisco: There's more than chocolate at Ghirardelli Square

If you’re in or around San Francisco this weekend, you might just want to drop in to one of our favorite spots in the city. Ghirardelli Square is holding their annual Uncorked! Wine Festival on Saturday and it promises to be another swell time of tasting wines, enjoying live music and watching chef demonstrations.

Why not celebrate the weekend and spring (we think?) in style, and head on over? It’s all free, except for the wine tasting – tickets go for $50 in advance.

Proceeds benefit Save the Bay. Established in 1961, the non-profit is the largest regional organization working to protect, restore and celebrate San Francisco Bay. Save The Bay protects the Bay from pollution and inappropriate shoreline development, making it cleaner and healthier for people and wildlife.

Over fifty wineries, including some of Napa and Sonoma’s finest, will be pouring at the event. Stark Insider recommendations: Etude, Michael Mondavi Family Estate, St. Clement, Flora Spring, and Stags’ Leap Winery.

Three chef demonstrations are scheduled for the afternoon and feature Chef Marck Richardson (Seasons), Chef Karen Chiappone (Cellar360), and Chef Gustavo Romero Veytia (Credo).
