Tickets are now on sale for the To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation Gala that will honor and celebrate the lives of women and men diagnosed with breast cancer. The fundraiser/fashion show/dinner-dance, Stepping Out To Celebrate Life, has become one of Marin County’s most eagerly anticipated evenings. The event raises funds for the Foundation’s grants program which distributes funds to Bay Area organizations that provide support programs, early detection screening, and emotional and educational services for people living with breast cancer.
The gala will be held at the Marin Center Exhibit Hall on September 25, 2010. Cocktail reception begins at 5:30 followed by dinner, the fashion show, live auction with Fund A Need, and a raffle featuring valuable prizes. Rounding off the festivities there will be dancing to the music of The Fundamentals. Tickets are $210 and may be purchased online at tocelebratelife.
San Rafael-based Noy Design Creates a One-of-a-Kind Collection for the Show
The fashion show features over thirty models, all breast cancer survivors, wearing spectacular clothing and accessories from boutiques and national clothiers including: Banana Republic, Eileen Fisher, Helen Lyall, Kate Spade, Lucy, Macy’s, and West Coast Leather. Plus one-of-a-kind looks created especially for the models by San Rafael-based Noy Design. Known for her soft, feminine fabrics and her detailed work, Noy Chanthavongsa has created a 10-piece collection that will light up the runway.
America’s Best Dance Crew Champ Kicks off the Evening
John Gray was part of the winning crew Jabbawockeez on the first season of Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Now he brings his own crew, Shadow Optix, to Stepping Out To Celebrate Life. Expect the unexpected with breaks and body movements that will play tricks on the mind.
Models will be escorted by physicians and a celebrity guest
Rock legend Sammy Hagar and prominent physicians from our medical community will escort our breast cancer survivor models on an emotional and uplifting walk down the runway.
Live Auction, Online Silent Auction and Raffle
In conjunction with the fabulous Live Auction at the event, there will be an online Silent Auction, Bidding opens September 1 and closes September 30. The drawing for valuable raffle prizes follows the live auction.
