Short Byte: Recalling What Lies is a dramatic-comedy that questions the nature of sexuality and boundaries in the world of East Coast academia, taking the audience on a rocky ride along the road of uncharted memory.

Playwright: Alice Pencavel (Playwright) wrote and performed I Work At Noah’s Bagels which premiered at Ithaca College before the production moved to The Kitchen Theatre Co. in downtown Ithaca.  Alice’s short playsThe Talk is Timed, 6th Grade, The Fire, and Secrets of the Game were all produced in Ithaca with The Underground – an informal theatre company co-founded with her college peers.  Her short plays Rachel & Anne In A Car and Welcome to Camp! were performed as part of Ithaca College’s BFA Acting showcase in Los Angeles and New York City.  Alice also co-wrote and acted in the film Slam!: A Mockumentary. Alice acts, directs, teaches, and recently began stage managing.  She received a BFA in Acting with a Writing Minor from Ithaca College and has trained with Dell’Arte International, East Coast Artists, and A.C.T. in San Francisco.  Alice also recently returned from a six month stint in New Zealand where she scrubbed toilets and jumped out of planes.
