Ah, yes, wine country. As host of Stark Insider, Loni, would say, “the people, the places, the vines.” I’m not sure what that means exactly, but it sounds like fun.

Stark Insider has been covering wine for about two years. We then launched WineTube TV in early 2009. Our goal is to provide a story-telling, first-person style account of life on a winery, the wine-making process, and behind the scenes stories about what makes the people that produce our favorite vino tick.

Some of my favorite moments have come while filming in Napa, Sonoma and Livermore. Like the time we pulled over on highway 29 and shot some scenic footage of Loni standing in front of the famous grapecrusher. Cars roared past just next to us. The tall grass was blowing hard. And we could barely see Loni through it. The end result was worth it I think, and no one was killed.

Recently we were at Stryker for crush, and shot some fun stuff, like dunking the winery owner, and a grape stomp competition. All in the spirit of crush. Loni tried her hand at pouring some Zins too. Apparently, pouring wine to anxious club members is harder than it looks.

Then there the infamous Napa (and Loreto) dance. Spinning, twirling, acting crazy. Someone said, “I liked it, but what was your point?” Watch for yourself, and let us know when you figure it out.

WineTube TV has quickly become one of the Internet’s most talked about and watched wine shows thanks to the visitors we have here on SSC.
