Expecting to see four eggs as I peered into the nest while the mother bird was away, I was completely surprised to see that only three eggs were present along with a tiny ball of fur. I then realized this little ball of fur was a baby bird. Later this evening, one of the other eggs cracked open and a sibling bird hatched.

It was too dark to take another photo without the flash. So for now, I leave you with a couple of photos of the latest arrival to our beautiful courtyard oasis. I sprinkled more seeds at the base of the Camphor tree in our courtyard so that the growing family of birds will have plenty to eat. No guests in my home should ever go hungry.
