Just finished a whirlwind tour of Brussels, Ghents and Bruges. Many photos and stories to share when I get back. My day started at 7 am this morning and I am finally back in my hotel at 10 pm.

I was able to indulge in some chocolate…yet sometimes it is the anticipation of something and not the actual event that actually brings more delight, no?

I leave for London tomorrow morning.

Clint’s wine reviews reminded me of a great recent article profiling Lorenzo and his winery Petroni Vineyards in the fall edition of Sonoma Magazine. I became aware of this little winery after a Sonoma Winemaker’s Lunch event I attended.

It was a little surreal seeing the photo on page 22 which showed the Petroni winery backyard as it was only about 2 months ago I was dipping my feet into the pool with Drinda Petroni and other guest at the lunch.

Reading the article brought back great memories of the afternoon we had.
