Jack and Arlene share a little of their Loreto, Baja California adventure with their latest submission to the 2011 Loreto calendar photo contest. In both photos, I think the stars of the photos are the Pugs who seem to be taking in all the sights and sounds of Loreto.

The local Loreto non-profit selected this year is Eco Alianza, which helps to promote environmental awareness in the community. All net proceeds from the sale of this year’s calendar will go to benefit this organization.

The last day to submit your photo entries is August 31, 2010. Please submit your photos of Loreto to me at loni@starkinsider.com. After that the exciting selection process begins.

In the meantime, I was able to get our team here at SSC to put up the 2011 Loreto Calendar order form. Like in the previous two years, the calendars are $19.99 USD each and we hope to be able to donate about $10 from each calendar to Eco Alianza.

I will not know the exact proceeds from the sale of each calendar until I have finalized the costs of printing the calendars. As always, I will keep all of you updated and this part of the process transparent. In past years, we have been able to pull together for the photos and manage costs (while improving quality) at a level where we can donate about 50% of the revenue from the sale of each calendar to the selected charity. This along with a corporate match made this a win-win for everyone. I hope to do this again this year.
