For the first time in the City’s history, San Jose’s General Plan Update will incorporate arts issues. To gain wide input from the public about its priorities, the City has developed a brief survey. Your opinions will help guide the planning efforts.

(The General Plan is a blueprint for how and where the city should grow in the next 30 years.)

Please take a little time to provide your input on future City priorities as they relate to planning. You will notice that there are several arts-related questions on the survey. Participation in the survey is open to all who have an interest in San Jose’s development, not just to residents.

It would be very helpful if you could encourage others who might be interested in voicing their opinions – including your staff, board members and supporters – to participate in the survey. The City’s goal is to have more than 10,000 participants, and with your help, we can achieve this ambitious goal!

Please see the information below for simple directions to access the survey.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of the ICA and art and culture in your community.

Most sincerely,
Cathy Kimball
