The Great American Wait, Part 2: Waiting for food (Video)

This is definitely what we'd call here in the Valley a "Beta" product.

BY Monica Turner — 06.14.2009

Join Loni on a search for food as she talks to some intrepid foodies at the Great American Food & Music Fest hosted by Bobby Flay in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.

It’s probably time for the organizers to start thinking about damage control, and somehow reverse the ill will this event has caused among thousands.

A quick skim of blogs, media outlets and Google reveals throngs of upset people who spent hundreds (even thousands for some VIP ticket holders) for an event that was over-crowded, chaotic, basically food-less, music-less, and wine-less. Still, the weather was nice. And people were good sports. Let’s hope the organizers can bring it back re-invented next year. Meantime this is definitely what we’d call here in the Valley a “Beta” product.
