Spring is definitely in the air here in the San Francisco Bay Area. One morning as I was getting into the car to drive to work, I noticed the sounds of birds chirping. A sure sign that winter has once again passed.

The changing of the seasons is reflected in this past month’s solar production report produced by our SunPower solar performance monitoring which showed days where production peeked above 12 kilowatt hours.

I also dusted off my vegetable planter box and purchased some heirloom tomato plants which I have yet to plant, perhaps this weekend. There has been quite a bit of interest in vegetable planting. Probably a result of the season and Michelle Obama turning a portion of the White House grounds into a kitchen garden.

I still marvel at French Laundry’s kitchen garden in Yountville, CA. Never knew bunches of edible plants could look so beautiful.
