At the end of last year, unbeknownst to Stark Insider supporters of the 2009 Loreto Calendar and Animalandia, I applied for an Adobe corporate match for the proceeds raised from the sale of the Loreto Calendar.

If you recall from my post on December 31, 2008 (2009 Loreto Calendar: Letter and net proceeds sent to Animalandia) we had raised $688 for Animalandia from the sale of 63 calendars. For an inaugural year, this was a great accomplishment by all of us.

But there is more!

I am even more excited to inform all of you that Adobe has generously made a corporate match of $688. So, the total raised for Animalandia is $1,376. (Adobe, I knew you would come through)

In 2009, some more of you stepped up and purchased calendars so I will be updating everyone end of Q1 (March) on additional funds raised.

While in Loreto recently, I had a chance to speak with Marla Daily about Animalandia and you can find the interview here. For those that supported this community endeavor check out the video so you can hear first hand the impact you are making.

We also announce the kickoff of the 2010 Loreto Calendar which will benefit the children at the Internado School in Loreto.

Last year’s calendar consisted of photos Clint and I took. This year, I want to open it up to all the talented photographers we have who are in love with Loreto, Baja. Don’t be shy, email all photo submissions to loretocalendar@starkinsider.com. If your photo(s) is chosen, SSC will list you or your business on the 2010 Loreto Calendar page.

There are only 2 remaining 2009 Loreto Calendars so if you didn’t get the first edition, you can still grab one. All net proceeds will continue to go to Animalandia for this calendar edition.
