The Tech Museum is the proud host of the Nikon Small World Museum Tour, widely regarded as the leading forum to recognize the art, proficiency and photographic excellence of photography taken under the microscope.

Now in its 34th year, the competition garnered nearly 2,000 micrographs from all over the world, covering subjects ranging from chemical compounds to up-close-and-personal looks at biological specimens.

The tour has traveled across the country, visiting dozens of premier research centers and museums including the Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas, the Wistar Institute in Pennsylvania and the Society for Neuro-Science in Washington, D.C.

The exhibit, which includes 21 prints, opens at The Tech Museum on August 28.
