At a press conference today, Teatro ZinZanni and the City of San Francisco announced plans to build a new permanent home on San Francisco's Embarcadero waterfront.
Legendary blues singer Duffy Bishop brought soul to spare in her numbers, channeling an agreeable mix of Bette Middler and Janis Joplin.
However, it sounds like the show won't be leaving town permanently.
The three hour show included all that we love about ZinZanni - a great 5 course meal, crowd involvement in riotous competitions and performances, spell binding acts, and even the train transformed into a Mexican themed event.
The pickings are hot, and there's something here to please everyone.
The zany performances will showcase many local artists in a late night varieté spiced with saucy cabaret, crazed circus, scandal, music and mayhem – all held in the gorgeous, glamorous Spiegeltent on Pier 29.
Teatro ZinZanni has entered its second decade of performance on San Francisco’s fabled Embarcadero.
It all started five years ago, staring at a PowerPoint Presentation, my eyes almost bleeding. How many more?
