Collectively News Republic, APPY Geek and Glam Life logged over 100 million page views in January 2012. That should tell us something about our thirst for news, RSS, and blog content, not to mention the prospects for the mobile ad market.
As much as it pains me to say it, this is one case where they need to follow Apple's lead. Google needs to hold a once-yearly, blow-out-the-doors Android launch event.

The app already has a 4.5 star rating on the Android Market, with over 1,000 downloads. Not exactly Angry Birds, but I expect once Google makes this available to more devices, it will quickly climb the charts.
Apple, however, continues to lead as the number one maker of handsets. The top five selling handsets in Q4 were the Apple iPhone 4S, Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 3GS, Samsung GALAXY S II, and Samsung GALAXY S 4G.
Take the Amazon Kindle Fire. Apple doesn't have an answer for the entry $199 tablet. For that matter, if you want a portable offering -- 7 inches is a popular size -- then you simply must go Android since the iPad is only available with a 9.7-inch display.
In absence of must-have Android kit out of CES I was again stuck: which smartphone would replace my OG Droid? Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Droid 4 or Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx?
