Just finished the Stanford executive education 2-week program in strategic marketing. About 40 of us flew in from the U.S. and around the world to participate in exhaustive study, discussion, and networking. Companies with executives attending included Starbucks, Netgear, InfoUSA, America West, HP, Microsoft, Cingular, among others.

The Stanford faculty at the graduate school of business was fantastic. It included many well known, and published teachers including Dan Thomas and Geoffrey Moore, two of my favorites.

What did I learn?

  • Stanford has amazing food
  • Networking is everything
  • Studying with palm trees and wine is fun
  • Oh… yes: marketing is important!
