Robert Mondavi Winery lights up its Christmas tree on Saturday, December 1st.

Robert Mondavi Winery has announced it will ring in the holiday season on December 1st with its annual tree lighting.

The event will include horse and buggy rides through the To Kalon vineyard (read the profile here), hot apple cider, carolers, Italian cookies, cheese, charcuterie and a visit from Santa Claus.

Margrit Mondavi is scheduled to join winery employees at the tree lighting.

The To Kalon Cellar is where the Modavi’s finest wines, such as the newly-released 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, are produced.

The celebration is complimentary for Wine Club Members, children under 12 and those who bring a canned food donation for the Napa Valley Food Bank. All other non-club members can join the celebration for $25 each. Attendees will save 30 percent on both wine and merchandise during the event.

All ticket proceeds and food benefit the Napa Valley Food Bank.
