Steve Jobs will attempt to set the record straight. In collaboration with former TIME managing editor Walter Isaacson, an official autobiography will be penned about the famous co-founder of Apple computer.

There have been many books about Steve Jobs of varying degrees of quality and credibility. And there have also been several books about the history of Apple the company with particular focus on the turmoil that ensued under various leaders.

With Jobs on board, though, will this book give us real juice, or just superficial gloss?

It’s no secret he’s been upset with past depictions of his character. So now he has a chance to give us Steve 2.0.

I haven’t been able find any information on the release date. I’m guessing in 2011 some time. Whenever it arrives, I’ll be first in virtual line to scoop a copy. But will anyone else?
