When you absolutely must have your espresso on the go

mypressi TWIST espresso

Talk about portable! I came across this coffee gadget — there are a lot of them — on Gizmodo. It caught my attention, partly for the sheer absurdness, but also partly because I wondered if it was even possible to brew an espresso using something that looked like a slightly pregnant mallet.

Made by mypressi, it’s called the ‘TWIST’, sells for $129 and uses Co2 cartridges (via a “pneumatic engine”), so power is not required.

May I suggest this is a novelty, and will not exactly be mistaken for the next Cabbage Patch doll runaway sales success?

    Hi Mike,

Are you gloing to test one for us? Looks kind of cool actually and might get me through some of my early morning photography assignments. I was on a boat working a few days ago and the fellow had a wonderful plug in coffee mug, that was good too!

Yes apparently we will be reviewing. They were in touch today with Clint and a review sample is coming July. Apparently it will be in stores October. Stay tuned, I'm looking forward to trying it out!
