Loreto Bay Company posts FAQs

I decided this evening to check out the Loreto Bay News site (http://www.loretobaynews.com) in case they had any updates and noticed that a new FAQ link was posted in the top right of the website.

The questions are ones I think are most pressing to Loreto Bay homeowners.

The answers seem to reinforce that Loreto Bay is in maintenance mode until a buyer or additional equity source is found. The answers are quick to note that decisions about the operation of Loreto Bay will be determined by the new buyer. I think this is the responsible response to have as the current management was clearly put in place for the interim.

I think we can all breath a little better when a new buyer is found. In the meantime, with a group of a couple hundred homeowners, we do have a community forming of talented and pioneering folks.

    • Markie,
Hey friend, ears on the ground don’t know and each day there’s a new speculation and rumor. And I guess we’ll all just know when we know. And let’s hope it’s soon, yes?

Hope all is well with you! See you in Loreto!

In 2005 I was caught up in the Loreto "pyramid and signed a contract to purchase a house. The house was supposed to be completed no later then October 2008. When the house was not even started by September 2008 I invoked my breach of contract clause and terminated my contract. Accoeding to the contract I was supposed to get my money back within 10 days. This never happened. After many phone calls and emails I was finally given a "termination contract" in November. The money was supposed to be deposited into my accout by January 31, 2009. Needless to say, it was not.
Now I am told that the contract basically means nothing. Twice I have signed contracts with LBC and twice they were not honored.
Does anyone have any advice as to what it will take for me to get my money back. I have paid for someone elses house to be build and LBC keeps giving me the run around. Any advice would be appreciated.
I can be emailed at whistlingm@aol.com
